In 1978, Wanne & Pok opened up their first restaurant in the heart of Elmhurst, Queens, in New York City, becoming one of the first restaurants to debut Thai cuisine to the Western world. With their passion for food and warm hospitality, their reputation of delicious food and beautiful culture quickly grew, gaining the attention of the Michelin List, the New York Times, among a vast number of other food publications and critics.
Jaiya's mission of "delicious food without compromise" makes it one of the most renown Thai restaurants in the east coast. Since beginning in Queens, they have expanded to two locations in New York City, with return clientele from all over the USA and oversees.
